If you’re planning a wedding near London, Ontario, and are drawn to timeless, charming venues that feel both romantic and personal, Lune 1860 in Goderich might be exactly what you’re looking for. Brooklyn and Sam’s wedding was everything a couple could hope for—elegant, emotional, and full of heart. Documenting this day was such an honour.

Brooklyn and Sam are the sweetest, most laid back and kind-hearted couple and their wedding was definitely a reflection of that. The day was full of connecting with their loved ones and doing what felt most true to them in the most elegant setting. It was such a close-knit and emotional wedding.

Brooklyn and Sam were married outdoors in front of the venue’s iconic water fountain—a gorgeous and unique ceremony backdrop at Lune 1860. One of the most memorable and emotional moments was when Brooklyn walked down the aisle not once, but twice. She first walked out of the Lune holding her mom’s hand, then after a loving hug, turned back to walk the aisle again with her dad. She wanted both her parents by her side, and it was such a beautiful tribute to their roles in her life.

They skipped the traditional sit-down dinner and instead hosted an extended cocktail-style reception. Guests enjoyed drinks, cheese boards, tacos, and shawarma throughout the night. The vibe was fun, easygoing, and full of energy—and the food was amazing! I loved this idea and how it encouraged everyone to keep mingling and enjoying the night without interruption.

Some of the most moving parts of the day came during the speeches. Brooklyn and Sam included video and audio messages from loved ones who couldn’t attend due to COVID-19. Seeing everyone’s reactions, the happy tears and full hearts, made it such a meaningful experience to photograph.

Their first dance kicked off the evening in the best way—an incredible live rendition of “1000 Highways” by SonReal, performed by their musician, Matthew Hussey.

If you’re looking for a wedding photographer in London or Goderich, Ontario, and are planning a wedding at Lune 1860 or another unique venue in Southwestern Ontario, I’d love to hear from you.
