Intimate Backyard Wedding | Kassidy + Colton
When I think back to Kassidy and Colton's October backyard wedding, I remember walking in and seeing Kassidy’s astonishing wedding dress hanging from the chandelier upstairs. There was so much laughter and love hanging out with the girls, the excitement in the air was undeniable. One of my favourite moments was when Kassidy did a first look with her dad and gave him a tie with an old photo of them together on it. There were lots of tears shared by her family and bridesmaids, it wasn’t just me!
I can’t even describe how beautiful the ceremony and cocktail area was - under the beautiful glowing trees was an altar with dreamy greenery. There was a hot and cold cider bar, fires and the cutest blanket set up for people in case they got cold. You could feel the love and admiration everyone had for Kassidy and Colton throughout the entire day. Everyone rushed to hug each other and share their excitement once they walked down the aisle.
Kassidy: “Having the fires and apple cider bar at the cocktail hour was something we were very excited about! Our first date was just us sitting around the campfire talking for hours and many of our dates after that took place around a campfire! We also both really love apple cider, so with the time of year it only felt natural to have an apple cider bar for cocktail hour where people could cozy up with a blanket around one of the fires!”
The evening continued with lots of laughs and tears during the speeches and some loving first dances with everyone surrounding them arm in arm. The lights were low and with all the twinkle lights behind them it was like they were under the stars. After that they were all ready to get the party started!. What a fun night!
