Heyy! I’m Melissa!
I’m a wedding and lifestyle photographer based in beautiful Lucan, Ontario. I grew up in Huron County and I spend a lot of my time there still. I love the small town life, but I also love getting out into the world and exploring, especially for a beautiful destination wedding or elopement! I am married to the sweetest, most loving man, Kody and we have a beautiful son named Kayce.
I fell into professional photography when a friend from high school asked me to photograph her wedding - don’t get me wrong, I loved photography - but as an inexperienced hobby photographer, I did EVERYTHING I could to talk her out of it! Thankfully she wouldn’t let me say no, and after panic buying all the professional equipment I could get my hands on and watching ALL the videos on posing, lighting and arrangements...it was a perfect day, the photographs turned out beautifully, and I fell head over heels in love with wedding photography!
And here we are ten years later! I’m a little older, a little wiser, and much, much more experienced - but I still fall in love with every wedding and family session I do. I can’t help but get emotional at the genuine connections and delightful candid moments I have the honour of documenting. What can I say? Romantic comedies and happy endings are my jam!
I love working with couples who know that the most important part of their wedding is the love they’re celebrating and the people they’re celebrating it with! That the flowers are beautiful and the cake is delicious, but that it’s the memories they’re making with the ones they love, the moments that make them tear up and their hearts beat a little faster, that really matter. And bonus points if you’re willing to get your dress a little dirty. Life (and love) is messy - even on your wedding day!

Out walking and exploring nature with my family or dancing around the house singing at the top of my lungs to music from the 90s and early 2000s with my one-year-old. Eating more pasta and cheese than could be good for me (I’m not technically Italian, but I’m about 80% pasta at any given time).
