A Rainy Garden Party Wedding at Cranberry Creek | Emily + Andrew
Emily and Andrew envisioned a Sunday brunch garden party for their wedding, and Cranberry Creek Gardens provided the perfect setting. Despite the rain that lasted all day, they embraced it, knowing it only added to the lush beauty of the venue. Every detail was thoughtfully chosen to reflect their story—from growing their own flowers, including tulips to honor Andrew’s Dutch heritage, to skipping table numbers in favor of floral-inspired seating. Their intimate morning ceremony included a wine ceremony, sealing handwritten letters in a box with a special bottle gifted when Andrew bought the engagement ring.
Food was a top priority for this couple, with a brunch menu that delighted their guests. Emily, a dietitian, and Andrew, a passionate home cook, knew that good food would make the day even more memorable. The celebration was filled with personal touches, including a piece of Emily’s mother’s wedding dress preserved in her bouquet and a “something blue” ring passed down from her grandmother. Even a near mishap—forgetting the rings—was quickly remedied by fast-acting family members, keeping the day stress-free and full of laughter.
Their advice to future couples? Stay organized but don’t sweat the small stuff. Some of the best memories come from the unexpected. Emily and Andrew’s first dance to Can’t Help Falling in Love was a moment they’ll never forget, and one they’ll continue to recreate in their kitchen for years to come. Through all the rain and surprises, their wedding day was everything they dreamed of—fun, meaningful, and uniquely them.
