Intimate White Spruce Acres Wedding | Lauren + Jansen

As a wedding photographer, there’s nothing quite like capturing those genuine moments of love, laughter, and a few happy tears. Lauren and Jansen’s wedding at White Spruce Acres in Staffa, ON, was a perfect example, and I’m excited to share the highlights from their unforgettable celebration.

Lauren’s bridal preparations were filled with joy and anticipation. One of the most memorable moments was her first look with her bridesmaids. They all were so blown away and all shared a group hug. Afterward, we headed to the venue for two very special first looks. The first was with Lauren’s father, whose eyes welled up with pride and love. The second was with Jansen. When he turned around and saw Lauren for the first time, his reaction was priceless and he had so much love in his eyes for her.

Lauren and Jansen included their adorable pup, Louie in the photos, adding a personal touch that highlighted their bond as a family. Their furry friend, decked out in a cute bow tie, was a hit and added a playful element to the portraits. The ceremony at White Spruce Acres was stunning. Surrounded by nature, they exchanged vows under a beautiful tree with sunlight filtering through the leaves. There wasn’t a dry eye as they promised to love and support each other forever.

The reception was a blend of elegance and fun. From heartfelt speeches to a lively dance floor, every moment was filled with joy. Guests laughed, cried, and danced the night away, creating memories that Lauren and Jansen will cherish forever.

And finally, Lauren offered some valuable advice for future couples: "Definitely get on the same page with what you want your wedding to look like. Attending other weddings helped us, taking ideas from what we liked versus what we would do differently. One person should be in charge of contacting vendors, as it involves a lot of communication. Finally, prioritize what YOU want, not what your family wants. It’s your day, and the most important thing is the bride and groom. Protect your peace and don’t do something just to please others."
